Jennifer Connelly Has Troubles In First Trailer For Dustin Lance Black’s Virginia

Based on an original screenplay by Black, the story follows a woman named Virginia (Connelly) who is doing her best to raise her son, Emmet (Gilbertson), and get out of the southern town where she lives. While she’s carried on an affair with Mormon Sheriff Richard Tipton (Harris) for a long time, things get complicated not just because he decides to run for public office, but because Emmett begins to date Tipton’s daughter (Roberts). Virginia arrives in theaters on May 18th.
